The Five Elements

Your Ki number has an Element associated with it. These are the elements used in classic Chinese astrolgy and medicine of Water, Wood, Fire Earth and Metal, giving 1 Water, 2 Earth, 3 Wood, 4 Wood, 5 Earth, 6 Metal, 7 Metal, 8 Earth and 9 Fire.

Water element,   has a floating still quality to itWood element,   this has an upward moving quality

Fire element,       pulsating quality, most active

Earth element,   downward and inward movement,   gathering

Metal element,   force of solidification, density, most compact

To calculate your Ki Year number, simply add together the four digits of your year of birth, add them again until you get a number between 1 and 10.

Deduct this number from 11 and you have your Ki Year number. E.g. 1 + 9 + 6 + 0 = 16. 1 + 6 = 7. 11-7 = 4

Not just a Year number

As already dicussed in the Discover area, you also have a Month number and House number which will be covered in more advanced lessions to come.
